What a lovely pub, staff so helpful and polite, the food was amazing I had Hunters Chicken with a twist the chicken breast was southern fried so had a great crunch to it. The other was a mixed grill large, also enjoyed not by me of course lol.

This Red Deer have the best chef and he or she produces great food. The staff are lovely and kind and nothing is too much trouble. The manager Carl is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time in hospitality! We pop there en route when going to Exeter and it’s our go to place

Excellent friendly service, food came quickly after ordering, 6 people in party, we took advantage of offer coupons. Food was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Some of our party had never been before and were very impressed and will definitely come again. Parking and accessibility was very good. All facilities where clean and in good condition and our pre-booked table was ready and waiting for us on arrival. Bar staff were excellent and helpful.

Had a really lovely meal this evening. Steak was delicious and all the staff were super helpful and recommended the skinny steak and jacket potato.

Holidaying in the area from Norfolk we noticed The Red Deer when we shopped at Tesco..so we went for a drink and some food..the staff were friendly and attentive..we ordered and our food was served quickly and we both had the pie and chips and chocolate sundae..which we both enjoyed..

Xmas meal was excellent. Real turkey, not plastic pre-formed like we had with previous owners. Lots of lovely veg and the roast potatoes were fluffy inside. Perfect. The manager is a lovely chap. We have come to know him and regard him as a friend. All in all the best Xmas dinner we have ever had when eating out. Keep up the good work!
